    Description

    "This was the first Catholic Church erected in 1878 at Sixth Street and DeMers Avenue. The building was owned by Sam Hoffman for a time, until it was demolished in 1959. A priest and pet dog are pictured aside [the] building." (from back of the photograph)

    That congregation became St. Michael's Catholic Church.
