Description
Photograph of the Frederick Hotel, circa 1928, located in the Bartholomew Block at 24 North 3rd Street. Within the hotel located in the front right corner was the Frederick Hotel Coffee, with a large verticle lighted display showing "Frederick Eat Shop". In the attached adjacent building were businesses such as Colborn School Supply Company and Poppler Piano Company.
Outside in front of hotel window sits a single empty chair next to a pillar on the corner of the building. On a single car parked in front of the Frederick Hotel a display on the driver's door show's a star in the center with the words Frederick above it and Cab below it. Light poles each holding three light run along North Third Street. The parking lot on northeast side of building is filled with various styles of cars, including a convertible.
Railroad cars are seen in the background behind the hotel and in between the cars another building is shown. A large powerline pole with multiple lines and a transformer attached is located between hotel and railroad cars.
