Description

"DeMers Avenue between Seventh and Sixth streets was a collection of buildings which dated to the turn of the century and before. The Columbia Hotel, known as the Palace in 1897, and the Grand Forks Mission, formerly Sam Johnson's Tavern and the Great Northern Cafe, stood on each end of the block in this 1964 picture."
