"The picture shows workers laying wooden blocks for street pavement. The location is in front of Bill Larson furniture store today on 4th Street. E.J. Lander is believed to be the man at the extreme right, watching the affair. The First Methodist Church is in the background. These blocks were taken out as early as 1948." (from back of photograph)
