Description
A carriage for one of the many Flower Parades that began to become popular around 1900. The ideas began in the summer of 1899. The parades that were held the summer became the precedent to many that followed.
This photograph was taken sometime around 1890. The is just one horse pulling a larger carriage that has two benches for sitting in it. Flowers cover the entire carriage and continues to cover the single bars connected to the horse. There appears to be a gentleman on the front bench steering the carriage and two women siting on the back bench. All of them were wearing dark clothes.
