Caption on back reads, "Summer Recreation, August 1969".
The outdoor Elks Park Swimming Pool was finally open, after many pushback dates, in the summer of 1961. The pool is located at 1002 Thirteenth Avenue South, next to the Louis and Clark Elementary School. It held a swimming pool, diving pool, and a wading pool. During updates and remodeling in the early 2000s slides, a water basketball court, and a splash park replacing the wading pool more recently.
