    Description

    The Antler's Hotel in the Bartholomew Block was among some of the first large hotels in Grand Forks. It was located on the southwest corner of First Avenue and North Third Street and was known as "hotel corner".

    The grand opening after some delay was on May 25, 1903. Proprietors of the Antler's Hotel were the McGowan Brothers, M.H. and Mike McGowa. Proprietorship of hotel changed a few times before the name was changed in 1908 to "The Frederick".
