Photograph of Thorstein H.H. Thoresen who served as mayor of Grand Forks from 1940-1944. Thoresen was affiliated with the North Dakota Nonpartisan League throughout his life and he also served North Dakota under many other titles such as Lieutenant Governor (1937-1939), following that he served as Mayor of Grand Forks (1940-1944), then was named Assistant Attorney General.
