Description
The caption on the back of this undated photograph reads "Franklin's Saloon, south side E.G.F. on DeMers."
There were two Franklin saloons noted in city directories for East Grand Forks and it is not clear which of them is seen in this photograph. One on the 100 block was primarily owned by W.T. Franklin, between at least 1882 and 1903. The other at 319 was primarily owned by George Franklin, between at least 1909 and 1916.
