Photograph of the Grand Forks Armory Auditorium, 615 North First Avenue, taken in 1974. Background shows a couple unknown businesses and a parking lot full of automobiles.
Built in 1957 the 300,000 square foot building started out as a National Guard Armory which house the National Guard and events when not in use. Eventually is became just an event center and renamed the Civic Center. In 2001 the deteriorating building was purchased by a developer, demolished, and turned into an apartment complex with commercial space.
