Detailed wooden frame with carved birds, flowers, and vines. Wooden frame extends into base structure with round, turnable details above all 4 legs. Porcelain insert shows colorfully dressed people with horses near a river, surrounded by trees and flowers with mountains in the background. Famille Rose ("pink/rose family") is a type of Chinese porcelain from the 18th century that uses opaque overglaze rose colors which were favored over the translucent famille verte overglaze colors that came before.
