Abstract
UND to celebrate Earth Day with informational event on sustainability and Earth-friendly practices Wednesday
Celebrate Earth Day with the University of North Dakota by attending “The fair” on Wednesday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Loading Dock of the Memorial Union.
The Fair will comprise many informational booths in the Loading Dock where attendees can learn more sustainable Earth-friendly practices. There also will be various campus organizations and businesses from the community on hand promoting environmental concepts such as water sustainability, tiny houses and “zero waste.” home. Attendees can take a sustainability pledge and there will be door prizes, such as books and water bottles.
A free film screening of Terra Blight will be held at 5 p.m., and Carbon Nation will show at 7 p.m. Both films will be shown in the Loading Dock.
Participants include: UND Facilities, the UND Sustainability Council, UND Health & Wellness, Food Services, Students for Sustainability and the Earth System Science & Policy program, Grand Forks Transportation, Amazing Grains, and the Dakota Resource Council.
