Abstract

Move-in time offers events and activities to help students get acquainted with their new homes

The University of North Dakota soon will be surging with life again.

New and returning students and their families will be making their way to campus for Welcome Weekend, Saturday, Aug. 23-24. Many of these students ? those who are becoming a part of the UND family for the first time ? will have plenty of opportunities to get acclimated to their new homes on campus. With concerts, picnics, socials and more, the students, including the incoming freshman class, will feel right at home.

Welcome Week at UND extends beyond the weekend ? Aug.25-31 ? with even more fun and informative events for new and returning students.

'One-Stop' coming

One long-awaited feature that will benefit all UND students is the launch of the school's new One-Stop Student Services Center, which is expected to open in October. The opening is almost exactly one year after school officials announced for the first time it was coming. One-Stop will be the most convenient way for students to get answers about their academic and financial status. Among other things, students will be able to register for classes, review grades, accept financial aid awards, pay bills, and more ? all at one convenient location.
