"Vikings + UND and Me" Scholarship Returns
Applications are now being accepted for the 2013 Vikings + UND and Me $10,000 academic scholarship!
Jacob Greenmyer, a 17-year-old senior from Stirum, N.D., was named the recipient of the "2012 Vikings + UND and Me" $10,000 academic scholarship.
Jacob plans to go to medical school, which he sees as a way to give back to the community and medical professionals who supported him after some severe health setbacks including being diagnosed with cancer as a teenager.
Jacob saw firsthand the care and dedication needed to be an excellent physician and healthcare professional. “I owe it to them, and my family, to try and do something with this opportunity."
The scholarship – intended for an incoming freshman in 2012 -- attracted applicants from 18 states and the United Kingdom.
