The Liberian Flag - There are eleven alternating red and white stripes symbolize the eleven signers of Liberia’s Declaration of Independence. The red and white also represent courage and moral excellence. The blue square in the canton symbolizes the African continent, and the white star within represents Liberia's status as the first independent republic in Africa.
Cultural Clothing: Culture and Traditional Gown - This cultural clothing is a symbol of leadership in our culture. They are usually given to leaders during an honoring ceremony. During the honoring ceremony, they will call the leader on stage and dress him/her in the presence of everyone. It is a unique way of appreciating their leader.
