From James Carley's notes: Large stoneware jug 17" high, with gray salt glaze. Nice tooling at neck, an incised line above the shoulder. A stylized 5 trailed in blue slip. A "dimple" from firing. Purchased in Crown Point. It came from north of Binghamton NY. Probably NY state about 1875.
