Additional Information
From James Carley's notes: Small pitcher 7" high of 5 cup capacity, of a hard dark brown body, unglazed. Tooling under the collar. Three slight lines drawn on the piece while the pot was on the wheel. The largest dia. is 2" above the short vertical foot. The bottom is slightly concave. It is well balanced, light in weight, with a good handle. Is this a very early piece? From Jack Hammon. He thinks southern NE, perhaps Conn. Purchase in Maine.
