From James Carley's notes: Stoneware churn or storage jar, 18" high, with slight lug handles. Heavy red or brown ware. Ribbing inside and out. A 6 is scratched under one of the handles. The collar is striaght and high. The exterior is a brown glaze, very peppery and spotted; the interior entirely blue - very mixed, but of gorgeous colors. Purchased Roswell, GA.
