From James Carley's notes: Stoneware jug. 11 1/2" high. Gray body. The glaze is very dark brown, dark olive where thicker at top. Glaze stops short of the base, with finger prints showing. The semi-gloss glaze has a nice smooth quality. The collar is thick. Purchased Lowman, Hickory NC
