Description
This handwritten letter, dated April 20, 1956, from Three Affiliated Tribes member and former Tribal Business Council member Mark Mahto to United States (US) Representative Usher Burdick alleges misconduct by Martin Cross, chairperson of the Three Affiliated Tribes Tribal Business Council. Mahto says that Cross has been drawing a stipend of $200 per month although the bylaws don't allow for salaries for council members. Mahto says that he would like an audit of all money accrued from the Garrison Dam agreement.
