UND President George Starcher introduces The President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, before his address at the UND Fieldhouse in September 25, 1963. Seated next to Kennedy is Stuart Udell, Secretary of the Interior. Seated behind Starcher is Governor William Guy. The back row is comprised of members of the State Board of Higher Education. President Kennedy spoke to nearly 20,000 people regarding conservation in America as well as in North Dakota.
