Description
A scene from the Shakespeare Tri-Centenary in 1916. The event held at the Bankside Theatre included several costumed performers, a white-wall background and an orchestra. Hundreds of spectators are seated on the bank of the English Coulee to watch the show. Several automobiles are parked across the road to watch near a private residence. The Bankside Theatre provided a stage for several spectacles including the Dakota Playmakers and the May Fete Production from 1914-1927.
