Description

A large audience listens to a debate in 1963 in the Burtness Theatre. The speaker stands behind a podium with notes and a microphone. Tables with other debate participants are situated on each side of the stage. Tim Tangedahl is seated and Joe Crawford, standing, both sophomores from Bismarck in 1963. The two Sophomores took the Negative side of the topic: "Resolved: The US Needs a National Health Service," on November 14,1963. They competed against 2 graduate students from Cambridge, England.
