Description

Student cadets in standing ready with fixed bayonets formation in the basement of Budge Hall. A military drill sergeant stands in front of the formation giving orders. In the right corner of the basement is a piano. In the early years, until the completion in 1907 of the Women's gymnasium, the basement of Budge Hall was used as an armory and drill hall, a gymnasium for men and sometimes for women, and as a court for basketball games.
