View of the memorial sphere erected on the site where Old Main once stood. On the left is Merrifield Hall and on the right is a corner of Twamley Hall. The memorial is a half-ton metal grill memorial, created by Stanley O. Johnson, then Assistant Professor of Art, sphere with an eternal flame was erected Fall of 1963. The memorial is surrounded by flowers and a brick wall that outlines the site of Old Main.
