Description
UND hired Joseph Kennedy (1858-1937) as Assistant Professor of Pedagogy and Principal of the Normal Department (1892-1893), as Dean of the Normal College (1900-1904), as Dean of the Teacher's College, (1904-1911) and as Dean of the School of Education (1911-1928). He spent his summers lecturing on education or conducting teacher's institutes. He wrote these books: "Rural Life and the Rural School" (1915) and "Fundamentals in elementary School" (1915). He was also the editor of the School of Caution Record from 1915-1928. Kennedy died in Grand forks on April 1, 1937.
