Description

Starting at left, clockwise around table: Fred Traynor, Henry Devaney, Bertha Newlander, Floyd Stevens, Gertrude McClintock, Lee Wilcox, Violet Murdock, Mable Lund, Fred Larsen, Lucy Comny, Vic Wardrope, Ina Sanford Grimson, G. Rimsen, Mary Belle Flemington, Ford Cumming, Margaret Shea. On the table are stacks of plates, dishes, glasses, two small plants, and a tall plant in the center. Two windows with curtains are on either side of the photograph and two light bulbs are hanging from the ceiling. The Varsity Bachelor's Club was formed in 1902 when ten "turned down, heart-pierced young men...in short, ten unsuccessful lovers" became a society of student leaders. The club would later become Phi Delta Theta. (Information from the 1904 Dacotah Annual) This photograph is also UAP 17,729.
