Artist Bio
Les Levine was born in 1935 in Dublin, Ireland. He studied at the Central School of Arts and Crafts in London before moving on to the New School of Art in Toronto in 1958. He then moved to New York in the 1960s, during the correspondence art movement, where he became a prominent leader in conceptual art. In 1970 Levine founded the conceptual art museum, 'The Museum of Mott Art Inc.', an avenue which allowed the production of artists' books, publications, and ephemera.
