Artist Bio
Hans Haacke was born in 1936 in Cologne, Germany and is currently based out of New York. Haacke studied at Kunsthochschule Kassel from 1956 to 1960 and then went on to the Tyler School of Art and Architecture from 1961 to 1962. He is best known for his installations, paintings and photography that critiques corporate influences in art, as well as social and political norms. Hans Haacke has work in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Tate Gallery, the Art Institute of Chicago, and several others.
