Description

This letter, dated September 26, 1949, from United States (US) Senator William Langer to Floyd Montclair of Elbowoods, North Dakota, member of the Three Affiliated Tribes of the Fort Berthold Reservation and vice president of the National American Indian Defense Association, Inc., makes reference to a recent letter from Montclair asking Langer's help in seeing that E. O. Morrow is appointed Superintendent of the Fort Berthold Indian Agency. Langer replies that he will take the matter up immediately with the proper authorities in the US Department of the Interior, and will write back to Montclair as soon has he receives a report on the matter.
