Description

Full recipe of Lydia O. Jackson's favorite molasses cake recipe, accompanied by a Certificate of Recipe Endorsement from Better Homes and Gardens. This is one of several recipes Jackson submitted and had published in the magazine. Although Jackson is well known for her poetry, and for being North Dakota's Poet Laureate, these documents show that she was also a skilled baker and a homemaker, reflecting her small-town heritage. This and other recipes were published under the name of Mrs. Arthur F. Jackson.
