In this video from Tuesday, March 27, 2012 recorded during the 43rd Annual UND Writers Conference, “Humanimal,” Aaron Poochigian reads from his translation of Aratus’ Phaenomena(2010), including “Wind Signs,” “Animal Signs of Foul Weather.” He also reads from his translation of Persians, Seven Against Thebes, and Suppliants (2011) by Aeschylus and Stung With Love: Poems and Fragments (2009) by Sappho. He also reads from his original work The Cosmic Purr(2012), including “The Reunion Show,” “Matter,” “Torque,” “To the Bride in the Dressing Room,” “One plus One, a Wedding Sermon,” and “Medusa.” He also answers questions from the audience.
