Peter Baczek was born in 1945 in Webster, Massachusetts. He received his BFA with an emphasis in Printmaking from the San Jose University and went on to further study etching at the Fort Mason Art Center in San Francisco. He currently has an art studio in Oakland, California and has worked as an independent artist since 1980. Baczek’s work has been featured in numerous art competitions and displayed and/or incorporated into permanent collections at multiple museums and galleries, such as the Berkeley Art Center, the Tokyo Art Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Library of Congress.
