Monica Savadel is a senior at the University of North Dakota, where she is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Visual Arts. Her favorite mediums are screenprinting, acrylic, and watercolor. The works pictured below are titled, "Flowers I'd Like To Plant" and "All That Glitters".
Artist Statement for "All That Glitters":
"If it weren’t for quarantine I wouldn’t have began exploring texture and color. I used thick paint and modeling paste to create texture on the canvas, and I painted over it 3 times before I ended up with the final product."
This piece was featured in UNDAC's Spring 2020 virtual exhibition, FREE TIME: IT'S NOT WHAT WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE.
