Artist Bio
Future Akins-Tillet received her BFA from Texas Tech in 1972, and her MFA in Printmaking from Texas Tech. She worked as a public school art teacher for four years, eight years in several museums, and now eleven years as an Associate Professor at Texas Tech. Atkins-Tillet's work is largely influenced by the tragic loss of her husband during her youth, which frequently incorporates the symbology of hearts.
