Artist Bio

Kathryn McCleery, a professor of ceramics for over twenty five years at the University of North Dakota, is known as an extremely versatile artist who has produced strong work using a variety of ceramic techniques.

Additional Information

This Piece is one of the first limited editions in a series of porcelain using North Dakota motifs and glazed using North Dakota clay. This first pot was in process when the flood of '97 occurred. The prototype was securely wrapped and stored when the artist evacuated her home. The first slip cast work produced at UND since the Cable years, it honors the history of UND pottery while continuing the tradition.
