Artist Bio

Norman Henry Anderson was born in 1925. He received both a BS and an MS from the University of Chicago, and an MS and PhD from the University of Wisconsin. Throughout his career, Anderson taught for several years at the University of California in Los Angeles. He was also a prominent behavioral researcher who extensively wrote and published on the topic. He is credited for the development of the Information Integration Theory and was awarded the AAAS Prize for Behavioral Science in 1972. Anderson is also a Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of California in San Diego, where he founded the Department of Psychology with two others.
