Artist Bio

Suzanne Kanatsiz was born to an American mother and a Turkish father. She earned her BA from San Diego State University and MFA from San Jose State University. Kanatsiz has previously taught art to diverse populations, including disabled adults and inmates of the California correctional system. She currently works for Weber State University

Additional Information

The artist's subject is blood, the basis of life. But the piece also suggests the ideas of interconnectedness and complex systems, both of which are foundational ideas for public health.

Sundog Multiples was a printmaking venture created by Art & Design Professor Kim Fink, in conjunction with UND Art Collections, and generously funded by the Myers Foundations.
