Artist Bio

Nancy Friese received a B.S. in Nursing from the University of North Dakota, but later studied art. She earned an M.F.A. in printmaking from Yale University School of Art and studied in the graduate painting program at the University of California, Berkeley. Friese also studied painting and printmaking at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. She resides in Rhode Island and North Dakota.

Additional Information

This artwork was produced for the Overlanders portfolio: a portfolio of ten prints by visiting artists at the University of North Dakota. UND professor Kim Fink developed the portfolio through Sundog Multiples.

Sundog Multiples was a printmaking venture created by Art & Design Professor Kim Fink, in conjunction with UND Art Collections, and generously funded by the Myers Foundations.
