Artist Bio

Dan Attoe was born in 1975 in Bremerton, Washington. He studied psychology and art and received his B.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his M.F.A. from the University of Iowa. Attoe’s art has been featured in several prominent magazines and art journals such as The Los Angeles Times, the Berlin Art Journal, and The New York Times. He also founded the art group Paintallica. Currently, he resides in Washougal, Washington.

Additional Information

At the bottom is a skull with wings, underneath is written 'passing through'. Above the skull is a small winter scene. To the right of the winter scene is a heart skewered onto a branch. Above the heart is written 'need’. To the left of the winter scene is the head of a man above which is written 'hope'. Above the winter scene is a moose head.
