Artist Bio
Karin Broker received her BFA in 1972 from the University of Iowa and her MFA in 1980 from the University of Wisconsin. She accepted a position at Rice University in Houston, Texas, as Professor of Printmaking and Drawing and worked there from 1980 to 2021. Broker is known for her drawings of Conte Crayon on Formica panels, but she also works with sculpting and printmaking.
