Description

Cartoon depicts a man, "Canada," trying to stop Canadian Prime Minister John G. "Diefenbaker" from painting a sign "Yankee Go Home." Following United States demands that Canada take a clear stand on nuclear weapons, Canadian Prime Minister John G. Diefenbaker replied that Canada was "not in the new frontier of the United States" and that his re-election would center on an Anti-American campaign.
