Description
This letter dated June 7, 1945, from United States Senator William Langer to Christian Beitzel mentions the Interior Appropriation Bill that set aside S100,000 dollars for Turtle Mountain Reservation and $8,500 for irrigation purposes at Standing Rock. Langer then asks Superintendent Christian Beitzel of the Fort Berthold Agency if he wants “something done around your reservation.” The letter includes the following handwritten note: “Indian money.”
