Description
This letter, dated April 29, 1949, from United States (US) Senator William Langer to US Representative Usher Burdick makes reference to a brief Burdick filed with the Subcommittee of the Senate Appropriations Committee on Civil Functions of the Army Engineers, regarding the construction of the Garrison Dam.
In this letter, Langer praises Burdick's brief as a "wonderful piece of work" and congratulates Burdick on a "fine presentation thereof."
There is a handwritten notation at the bottom of the page that reads, "C. J. Barry called for brief March 6, 53_ sent to him for Mr. Burdick. Dfg_"
