This letter, dated April 22, 1959, from United States (US) Senator William Langer to Peter Starr of the Three Affiliated Tribes of Fort Berthold, North Dakota, makes reference to a copy of a petition Starr has recently sent to Langer. Langer replies that he has contacted both US Secretary of the Interior Fred A. Seaton and Commissioner of the US Bureau of Indian Affairs Glenn L. Emmons regarding the matter, and will advise further as soon as he has received a report from them.
