Description

This handwritten letter dated August 19, 1946 from Floyd Montclair to United States Senator William Langer calls Langer’s attention “that the majority of Fort Berthold Indians want immediate per capita payment of the $400,000 claim now placed to their credit” as soon as possible. A stapled note for August 23, 1946, with United State Senate letterhead asks Mr. Grorud, the clerk for the Committee on Indian Affairs, to prepare a reply for Senator Langer’s signature, which is signed by Langer. The letter includes a handwritten note of “Indians.”
