Description

This letter, dated October 11, 1947, from C.E. Van Horne on behalf of Senator William Langer to Three Affiliated Tribes member Martin Cross informs Cross that congress authorized a payment of more than five million dollars to reimburse the Three Affiliated Tribal members for lands that would be flooded by the Garrison Dam. Hand written on the letter is a note that says, "See Indians."
