Handwritten letter from Albert Janssen, a prisoner in Mandan, to Attorney General William Langer regarding Janssen's arrest and guilty plea, dated January 21, 1919.
Janssen notes his legal situation and asserts that he only had liquor in order to fight the flu. He asks if Langer might be able to get him released from jail early to tend to crops on his 375 acre farm.
