Description

This letter, dated September 22, 1955, from United States (US) Senator William Langer to Glenn L. Emmons, Commissioner of the US Bureau of Indian Affairs, makes reference to a series of three industrial development meetings held at Dunseith, New Town and Devils Lake, North Dakota, at which, Langer has been informed, there was "an extreme amount of enthusiasm" expressed by attendees for the development of an electronics industry in these reservation-adjacent communities, and that Emmon's assistant Carl Beck told those present of active prospects in the electronics industry for those communities.

Langer asks Emmons to keep him informed of any further developments in this area.
