Artist Bio

Born in Brooklyn, New York, James Smith Pierce received his PhD in art history from Harvard University. Pierce was also a photographer, exhibition curator, and art collector. James Smith Pierce sorted through his many 8.5" X 11 " drawings, graded them (either A, B, or C) and placed them in folders for possible use in future projects.
